Name that Show! TMNS > MLB Jam > TMNS Reprise

I jumped out of my seat when I realized what was happening on this show. I'm pretty sure it's the only one, ever.

What's the date? Are you enough of a GD Dork to answer? :)

Hint: Ohio!!

The only one ever?
They did it on 9/30, 10/2, 10/3, and 10/14/76. Brush up on your '76, sir!

If you want a real rarity, how about the only Not Fade Away>MLB jam>Stella Blue?
Hint: it's with Brent.

I’d guess it was at this show:

Good find! Sounds like the same chords Garcia plays before Stella Blue on 9/6/79 - although in this '81 show it's very half-hearted. And I'm pretty sure those are the same chords they're doing in those Oct '76 MNS>MLBs.

Hey, that was a fun quest. The sumptuousness of high speed internet – and the archive.
Seems to have worked as a righteous segue into Stella.

Ps. Liked the 79 Stella very much. I had been scanning the later parts of NFA - didn’t catch this show.
But it’s when I got ‘round to the 76 MNS offerings that I got in trouble.
Couldn’t contain myself, and eventually the landlady banged on the ceiling.

:| You, sir, have caught me with my Grateful Dead brand (tm) pants around my ankles. On the past month I have been on a 76 kick. Started with 6-15 and the last one I sat through was 9-30. As usual, I've got a lot more listening to do ;)

As for your question, I think it'll take me another year or so to answer ! I've first got to listen to all the versions you mention and decide on the best.

That's an interesting guess, but I don't hear an MLB jam there.

This is what you're looking for, at the start of Stella Blue:

Granted, it could easily be called a Dear Prudence tease. The chord experts can weigh in, but now I'm thinking it's more a Prudence than a MLB.
This is an example of a Garcia Prudence from that year:

Correct, sir!

The copy I have has a lot of awkward aud to sbd patches. Curious to know, which version do you prefer?

hard to say- i *think* i might prefer the aud, its decent quality; that SBD does have akward patches and the board is not that great sounding to begin with. a shame the miller source is missing this part of the show...

I got a lot of my junk from the SpeedingArrow cult. Over the past year I've been having to replace it all. It's taught me that AUDs have a lot to say.
